Donkeys
Donkeys are highly intelligent and social creatures. They are capable of independent thinking and decision making. Many people use them as guardians for livestock because they are capable of killing coyotes. They form strong connections with each other and their human caretakers, often forming life long bonds. Donkeys are, quite simply, amazing - we sure think so. Meet our two slam-dunk donkeys below:
Wilma, I got her off of Craigslist back in 2015 from a lady that picked her baby up and couldn’t leave her behind in the shape she was in. Since she only wanted her baby she put up an ad for her.
I was looking for a guardian for my goats and took her home. She was so depressed and missed her baby. I ended up adopting Wally and she greeted her as if it was her baby. They are inseparable.
Wilma
Wally, I adopted Wally from a local horse rescue. Her mother and several other donkeys were rounded up from the wild because they were going to be shot. All of the females gave birth shortly after they were rescued. I adopted Wally when she was 2 years old. I have had her since 2015.​
